MOBILE SCHOOL PROGRAMS - BOOK ONE TODAY!
Mobile Science Activity Centers
The Kentucky Department of Agriculture has mobile classrooms for schools or events where students can investigate science concepts related to agriculture and the environment. KyAEC and its members purchased the classroom trailers, and keeps it stocked with supplies. The cost is $200 per day, or $500 for 3 days. Best suited for grades 3-8, but programs are available for younger children.
This program provides a 15 to 20-minute presentation and several age-appropriate hands-on activities that align to standards in Practical Living, Vocational Studies, Social Studies, and Science, This program can reach 250 to 350 students per day.
Cost is $250. Two options are available:
Presentation and Hands-On Activities in Gym - Two classrooms will enter the gymnasium or other designated area each hour for a short presentation about agriculture. They will then break up into smaller groups for hands-on activities. This option requires several tables and 10-15 volunteers to work the stations. FFA and Farm Bureau groups are very effective. The sponsor or school should plan to provide lunch and bottled water for the volunteers.
Presentation Only – If you are short on volunteers, we can provide a 30-minute, grade level appropriate presentation and activity several times throughout the day in classrooms, the library, or other area.
