Agriculture Literacy Network Workshops
Join us for next volunteer educator workshop. The cost to attend is $50 and includes lunch.
All first-time participants will receive our Basic Ag Literacy in a Box teaching kit a ($250 value):

NEW MEMBER SESSION
10:00 a.m. – Registration opens and participants are free to look at displays and resources.
10:30 a.m. – Programs Overview & the Ultimate Guide to Ag Literacy in Kentucky
Wonder what is the right lesson for the grade level in which you have been asked to present? Has a teacher asked you to cover a specific academic standard? KyAEC will present the "Ultimate Guide to Ag Literacy Programs in Kentucky" to help volunteer and farm educators determine the right activities for their age groups. Participants will be able to practice several lessons.

NEW & RETURNING MEMBER SESSION
1:00 p.m. – New Resources and Programs
We will review new resources and programs that were added in 2017: Kentucky Farms Feed Me Virtual Field Tip Curriculum, The Farm as an Ecosystem, and engAGe Kentucky.
2:30 p.m. – Success Stories and Idea Sharing
ALN Members will share how they grew agriculture literacy in their communities through the Sponsor a Classroom program, events, and school outreach. This is sure to generate a lot of ideas for what will work in your community.
3:30 p.m. – Wrap-Up
Participants will be sent home with the Ag Literacy Guide, a resource flash drive, and a new resource (Kentucky Farms Feed Me virtual field trips and curriculum). Additional resources will be available for purchase. Participants may also purchase materials throughout the year with free shipping.
Registration fee is $50 per person.
