Soybean Science: What's in a Soybean?

Purpose - Students will develop an appreciation and understanding of the natural development of seeds, learn the anatomy and function of each seed part through a seed dissection, and classify seeds as monocots or dicots.

Science Standards Connections:

  • 4-LS1-1   Construct an argument that plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction.
