We also know that you are short on time and have a lot on your minds right now, so we have put together a list of 5-minute activities you can use to help us celebrate National Ag Day, Tuesday, March 20!
Any teacher who joins the fun will be entered in a drawing to win their school a day-long enrichment program called Feeding Kentucky: A STEM Adventure or $250 in classroom resources. Just tag a picture or a description of your #AgDay18 lesson with #teachkyag and/or #5forfarmers.

Learn about Agriculture in Your County
We have a wonderful resource that provides farm data by county. Visit the Agriculture in Your County page at www.kyfoodandfarm.com, click on your county, and complete the Agriculture Where I Live worksheet (Grades 2+). Younger students may want to complete the Things I May See on a Kentucky Farm worksheet.

Students may also enjoy reading about real Kentucky agriculture professionals. Kentucky Food and Farm Files Ag Career Profiles.
These are just a few activities you may be able to easily incorporate in to National Ag Day. If you'd like to spend more time teaching about our food and farms, check out our teacher resources page for several Kentucky Academic Standards-aligned lessons.
