Agribusiness Professionals and Farmers Encouraged to Offer School Programs During Farm to School Month

Farm to School Month will be celebrated in October. As part of this effort, the Kentucky Agriculture and Environment in the Classroom (TeachKyAg) and other Kentucky Farm to School Network members encourage those involved in agriculture to visit schools across the Commonwealth.

Farmers and agribusiness professionals may talk about their careers and how they help to produce food that may end up in school cafeterias. TeachKyAg, to make it a simple process, is offering a webinar of its Feeding Kentucky: An Agriculture Adventure program that classroom volunteers may utilize to teach students the farm-to-fork connection.

The webinar will be recorded and available for anyone to watch and request the needed materials for classroom visits. Volunteers involved in this program are encouraged to reach out to their local schools to plan visits, and TeachKyAg will list available volunteers on its website.

If you are interested in providing this program in your local area, please fill out the form below, and a TeachKyAg representative will contact you.
