Career Exploration in the Pork Industry
The following is a great companion to the Kentucky Farms Feed Me Virtual Field Trip to a Pig Farm for secondary agriculture students. As they watch the video, ask them to write down potential careers under the appropriate headings that are related to pork production. Students could then be asked to research a career of their choice and make a poster that lists a description, the education/skills needed, salary information, and companies that use someone with that skill set/education.
