Farmers, extension agents, and conservation district employees braved the snow on February 7 to attend the Fourth Annual Agriculture Literacy Network sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board. Participants left with many ideas for teaching students about agriculture, including $250 in ready-to-use resources.

The crowd also heard from Miss Kentucky Alex Francke. She visits schools on behalf of Kentucky Proud to share how Kentucky farmers provide the foods we enjoy every day. The Dairy Alliance’s Alan Curtsinger also shared a new curriculum packet to help volunteer educators talk about dairy.

Ag Literacy Members have access to all #TeachKyAg resources digitally, and they receive 25 percent all resource purchases.
